MMCA ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT

       Mike Wilson was named the 2007 – 2008 President of the Montana Motor Carriers Association at the annual convention
held in Billings last September. Wilson has served on the
MMCA board of directors since August 2001. He has sat on
the Management Committee, Image Committee and served in
each of the Executive Committee positions. He is currently
the President and co-owner of Whitewood Transport – the
2006 – 2007 Montana Motor Carrier of the Year. Wilson is
the past president of Eagle Mount Billings and was a finalist
for the 2007 Roche Jaune Award, Billings Business Person
of the Year sponsored by the Billings Chamber of Commerce.

Wilson began his career in trucking at the age of sixteen, working for Waggoner’s Trucking in Livingston, Montana. He remained with Waggoner’s through high school and while attending college at Montana State University.  Later he joined their corporate office in Billings. In 1991, he went to work for Whitewood Transport in Billings and eventually became co-owner with longtime associate, John Hanson.        Wilson is married to Nancy and celebrated 22 years in November. They have three children, Brad (18), Laura (15) and Ryan (13). He enjoys the family cabin, fishing, golfing, snow skiing and continuing education.
